Displayed on a large screen in the National Assembly Main Building located in Seoul’s Yeouido, photographer Noh Jung-ha’s piece “Ghost-Oh My Sweetheart!” captivates passers-by. Seeing the lively, maskless faces of people as they make their way down streets scattered across the world makes me think about what all of us living through this pandemic era want more than anything. South Korea’s government is cautiously laying out plans for a gradual return to normal, calling it “living with COVID-19.” I eagerly await the day that we can finally overcome COVID-19 altogether, with thorough preparations by the government and the public’s cooperation.
