South Korea’s Central Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters announced that as of 11 am Tuesday, 156 people had been killed and 151 people injured (29 seriously and 122 mildly) in the deadly crowd crush that occurred in the Itaewon neighborhood of Seoul on Saturday evening.

The death toll was up by one and the number of injured down by one from the 6 am tally after a woman in her 20s who had sustained severe injuries died at 8:49 am. The dead included 101 women and 55 men, with 12 in their teens, 104 in their 20s, 31 in their 30s, 8 in their 40s and 1 in their 50s.

By region, 64 were from Seoul, 1 from Daegu, 5 from Incheon, 2 from Gwangju, 5 from Daejeon, 3 from Ulsan, 38 from Gyeonggi Province, 1 from North Chungcheong Province, 4 from South Chungcheong Province, 1 from North Jeolla Province, 3 from South Jeolla Province, 1 from North Gyeongsang Province, 1 from South Gyeongsang Province and 1 from Jeju Island, along with 26 foreign nationals.

Among the 151 injured people, 111 have returned home, while 40 are still hospitalized.
