This cartoon depicts the disrespectful treatment that many service workers are forced to endure on their jobs. The elderly man flings his money at the cashier, while on the right, a middle-aged man’s harsh words hurt the feelings of the woman working as a waitress. In South Korea, workers in the service industry are expected to be formal and polite at all times, even when customers abuse their kindness with rude behavior. (by Kim Han-min)
