A limited portion of the pathway that runs from the back of the British Embassy along the stone wall of Deoksu Palace has been reopened to the public. The narrow road held historical significance for being used by King Gojong and his aides while they participated in royal ceremonies. Despite the land being owned by the City of Seoul, 70 meters of the 170 meter pathway had been used exclusively by embassy personnel since 1959. (Photo courtesy of Yonhap News)
