Children examine a pair of 106 year old skis that were handmade during the Japanese colonial period and are on display at the Konjiam Resort Ski House in Gwangju, Gyeonggi Province on Jan. 21. The skis were found in South Hamgyung Province in North Korea in 1912, and have been kept in storage at the Japan Ski Origins Museum in Niigata. The skis are 160 cm in length with a width of between 5-7 centimeters, making them similar to the shape of modern Western skis. (Yonhap News)
