SK Telecom has developed AI software that can help determine whether people who are under quarantine or observation are infected with the novel coronavirus. SK will launch the software on May 20 to monitor over 1,500 people in South Gyeongsang Province, and is expected to be expanded to other regions. The software, called NUGU Carecall, calls people suspected of infection to collect data that is then relayed to disease control authorities. This will help reduce the amount of work for quarantine and health workers.
