South Korean citizens have reported the leader of a religious group for attempting to launch balloons filled with anti-North propaganda and biblical material across the inter-Korean border. Eric Foley, founder and leader of the group Voice of the Martyrs Korea, was reported to the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency on July 20 by civilians monitoring the border region for violating laws concerning inter-Korean cooperation and national security. Foley was sighted with two balloons, 14 bibles, and two helium gas tanks in Gimpo, Gyeonggi Province, near the border on July 19. The photo shows Foley holding two balloons.
