The Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra 5G, by Samsung Electronics, was named “best smartphone” at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2021, held in Barcelona, Spain.

Samsung Electronics said that the MWC judges described the Galaxy S21 Ultra 5G as “the best Android smartphone Samsung has ever made with a great range of features, stunning AMOLED display, best-in-class cameras and more.”

The smartphone represents an ensemble of Samsung Electronics’ innovative mobile technology, including AI technology that enhances the phone’s camera. This is also the first phone in the Galaxy S line to support S Pen.

Other entries in the “best smartphone” competition were Apple’s iPhone 12 Pro Max, Xiaomi’s Mi 11 Ultra, OnePlus’s OnePlus 9 Pro, and Samsung Electronics’ Galaxy S20 FE 5G.

“Samsung has a long, proud history of driving innovation, and we aim to deliver devices that meet the needs of our users now and in the future,” said Stephanie Choi, senior vice president and head of marketing and mobile communications at Samsung Electronics.

“As the user needs continue to grow so varied and dynamic, we are committed to leading the journey in developing devices that are loved by users across the globe.”
