K-pop group BTS will be taking the main stage along with collaborator Coldplay at this year’s American Music Awards held in Los Angeles.
The AMAs announced in a social media post on Wednesday that the two groups would be performing together at the awards ceremony on Sunday.
The two groups will be performing their collaborative hit song “My Universe,” which they released in September. The song held the top spot on numerous Billboard charts (as of Oct. 9), including the Billboard Hot 100, Billboard Global 200, Billboard Global Excl. US, and Digital Song Sales.
This will be Coldplay’s first return to the AMAs stage in six years, their last performance being in 2015 with “Adventure of a Lifetime.”
Coldplay isn’t the only act that BTS will be performing with. The group is also set to perform a remix of their song “Butter” featuring Megan Thee Stallion.
Other artists that will be performing at the AMAs include Bad Bunny, Olivia Rodrigo, New Kids on the Block, and New Edition.
BTS has been nominated for awards for four years running at the AMAs, starting in 2018. This year, they’re competing for Artist of the Year, Favorite Pop Duo or Group, and Favorite Pop Song.
