Outdoor swimming pools located along the Han River are usually packed with people avoiding the heat around this time of year. Since last year, however, the pools have remained empty and closed amid the COVID-19 pandemic. The Seoul Metropolitan Government will make a final decision later this month about whether to open the pools to the public.
