The Blue House, which until now had functioned as the official residence and office of the president of South Korea, was opened to the public on Tuesday.

As part of an event celebrating the opening of the Blue House grounds to the public, 74 citizen representatives and a number of visitors selected via a drawing of applicants were able to visit the Blue House that morning.
