The pop group BTS logged a third straight week at number one on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart with their song “Butter.”

Released by Billboard on Monday, the Hot 100 chart for the second week of June showed “Butter” at number one again following its May 21 release. It is the first song by BTS to spend three weeks running at the top of the chart.

The BTS song “Dynamite” also spent three weeks at number one following its release last year, topping the charts in its first and second weeks before dropping to number two in its third and fourth and returning to the top spot in its fifth.

In all, BTS has spent eight weeks on top of the Hot 100 chart: three weeks with “Dynamite,” one week as a featured act on a remix of the Jawsh 685 and Jason Derulo song “Savage Love,” one week with “Life Goes On” (with lyrics in Korean), and now three weeks with “Butter.”

In a Twitter message, BTS wrote, “YES! #BTS_Butter is on top of the chart for three weeks in a row. Thanks #BTSARMY.”

The Hot 100 is a weekly ranking of the most popular songs in the US, based on a combination of streaming, downloads and radio airplay. “Butter” has stayed on top for three weeks thanks to consistently high downloads combined with increased radio exposure.

“Good 4 U” by Olivia Rodrigo, an emerging singer who has enjoyed phenomenal success in the US, held steady in second place for a third week in a row behind “Butter.” “Good 4 U” outperformed “Butter” in streaming with 42.1 million streams to the BTS track’s 15.4 million, but registered only 11,100 downloads, well short of the 138,400 counted for “Butter.”
