A police officer escorted a mother and a child to a place where they could take shelter from the rain on Wednesday when there was a heavy shower in Seoul. The officer in the picture who helped the mother-child duo is Assistant Inspector Byun Young-woo with the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency, who saw them getting drenched when they were caught in a sudden shower without an umbrella.
The mother said, “My child and I were in a predicament [in the rain], so I am really appreciative of the help.”
Byun escorted them to the eaves of the Sejong Center for the Performing Arts, and the mother and the child soon went back on their way after the rain stopped.
