The Seocho District Office of Seoul held a harvesting event of organically grown Korean barley at the district’s Yangjae Stream on Tuesday. The district office grows Korean barley plants every year on a lot by Yangjae Stream to promote the importance of indigenous barley plants and clean water.

They are grown organically using manure and compost and without pesticides. This year the district office expects to harvest 1000 pounds of barley, which the district office plans to distribute to welfare facilities and other institutions within the district.
