A special exhibition of Gyeongbok Palace’s Geunjeong Hall, which is normally off limits to the public, will be held until Nov. 7. Reconstructed during the reign of Gojong in 1867, the throne hall was where the Joseon king granted court officials an audience. It was first opened to the Korean public in August 2019. The exhibition offers a special glimpse into life in the royal court. Two groups of five, each accompanied by a professional guide, will be permitted at a time. There will be two sessions per day (10 am, 2 pm) on every day except Tuesdays. Admission to the hall is free, but there is a charge to enter the palace grounds. Book a spot now online at the palace’s website: www.royalpalace.go.kr.
