[%%IMAGE1%%] The North Korean news outlet Korean Central Television released photographs of North Korean National Defence Commission Chairman Kim Jong-il at a military base near Pyongyang on November 5, including this one, in which Kim applauds soldiers at a training session.This becomes the third time North Korean news outlets have released photos of Kim since mid-August, when rumors about the state of his health began to circulate.This recent round of photographs may have been printed to calm suspicions raised about the previous release of photos on November 2, in which Kim was shown with his left hand in his pocket and leading some to believe he was hiding something about his physical condition.Some experts say, however, that the continual release of photographs of Kim cannot completely dispel suspicions about his health because there is no video of Kim, which could allow for closer examination of his mobility and general physical state.Image from KCTV courtesy of Yonhap News Agency.
