The Korea Meteorological Administration (KMA) issued heat advisories and warnings across South Korea on Monday for the second day in a row. The highest temperature for the day was 35 degrees Celsius (95 degrees Fahrenheit) in some parts of the country, while in most parts of the country the day’s high was 32 degrees Celsius (90 degrees Fahrenheit).
The KMA said that “the heatwave will continue for a while and more parts of the country will see tropical nights,” while asking citizens to stay hydrated and avoid outdoor activities.
