A woman hangs her laundry on a clothesline to dry on the rooftop in Gimpo, Gyeonggi Province on Thursday, when the sun finally emerged after days of rain and overcast skies.
The weather is forecasted to remain pleasant in the central regions of South Korea, while it will rain on and off in southern regions next week. Although it is cool in the morning and evening, forecasts suggest the summer is far from over. The temperature will rise to around 30 degrees Celsius (86 degrees Farenheit) at noon through early September, weather forecasts say.
