South Korean filmmaker Bong Joon-ho’s critically acclaimed masterpiece “Parasite” was named the best foreign language film by the US film organization National Board of Review (NBR). Many industry insiders view the NBR distinction as a sign of an Academy Award in February 2020. NBR named Martin Scorsese’s “The Irishman” as the best film and Quentin Tarantino as best director for “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.”
